Frank Tashlin

Frank Tashlin was an American animator and live-action film director known for his energetic slapstick comedy style and visual gags influenced by his animation background. He directed numerous comedies in the 1950s and 1960s, frequently collaborating with Jerry Lewis and other comedy stars, bringing cartoon-like exaggeration to live-action filmmaking. His distinctive directorial style combined rapid-fire editing, absurdist humor, and physical comedy to create highly entertaining and visually inventive films.
