Joseph McGinty Nichol, better known as McG, is an American director and producer of film and television. He began his career in the music industry, directing music videos and producing various albums. He later rose to prominence with his first film, Charlie's Angels.
I looked at Kurosawa films like Seven Samurai and Ran, I looked at Children of Men, The Road Warrior, No Country For Old Men, and tried to just make a movie that felt real, that had a certain amount of scope, and a certain amount of character.
