Synopsis

On behalf of "oppressed bugs everywhere," an inventive ant named Flik hires a troupe of warrior bugs to defend his bustling colony from a horde of freeloading grasshoppers led by the evil-minded Hopper.

Cinema Atlas Connection
The core of our story, where a small colony is threatened and seeks help from outsiders, was definitely inspired by Akira Kurosawa's 'Seven Samurai'.

We loved the notion of 'Seven Samurai' – how you hire these warriors to help you fight off the bad guys – and we applied that structure to our story.
