Synopsis

Paris, summer 1960. Anthropologist and filmmaker Jean Rouch and sociologist and film critic Edgar Morin wander through the crowded streets asking passersby how they cope with life's misfortunes.

His method was also very inspiring for Cléo from 5 to 7... The idea was that the actress could play a character walking in the street and that the street was real. So Rouch influenced me in that way. It was a combination of documentary and fiction. And that's exactly what I did in Cléo.
