The Films That Shaped It

Four Flies on Grey Velvet

1972

The first time I saw an Argento film, it was Deep Red and Four Flies on Grey Velvet when I was very young, and it was a shock. It was just an esthetic shock. You watch those films and you see a way of telling stories, a way of moving the camera, a way of constructing images that is unique. It’s absolutely fantastic cinema.
