Synopsis
A short film commemorating the 400th anniversary of the city of Rio de Janeiro. The short film was sponsored by the Barsa Encyclopedia (launched in 1964) and the Jornal do Brasil newspaper. The text, narrated by Paulo Mendes Campos, was written by Machado de Assis himself.
