Cinematic DNA
I grew up in the shadow of the Franco regime and the Catholic church, and those are themes I return to again and again. Buñuel did too, of course. 'Viridiana' and 'Nazarin' and even 'Simon of the Desert' are incredible examples of how to critique the church through cinema.
