Synopsis

The powers of good are pitted against the forces of evil as the Duc de Richelieu wrestles with the charming but deadly Satanist, Mocata, for the soul of his friend. Hammer was huge for me – I loved The Witches [1966], The Devil Rides Out [1968]... I’d watch them all the time. But I think probably more the look of them. The art direction and the set design are beautiful. I loved the way those films looked.
