The Films That Shaped It

The Devils at the Elgin

1974

I’ve seen it referred to as a folk horror film, which is fine, but I guess when I think of that sub-genre I’m going to films like The Wicker Man and Witchfinder General, which are not far off from this. I was also thinking about Ken Russell’s The Devils, which I watched again recently. It’s an insane film.
