I wanted to make a movie about a superhero, and the idea of a character that is silent, never speaks, is a man of few words, kind of a knight without armor, but has a very strong morality. That, combined with a car chase movie like 'The Driver' or 'Thief,' Walter Hill. That was the inspiration.
