Cinematic DNA
There’s a movie called The Secret in Their Eyes, an Argentinian film, that has a stadium sequence that’s really, really brilliant. It’s mostly done through a bunch of visual effects and CG. But it feels like a really epic single shot. For La La Land, it was like, if there’s any stadium to get your bearings in, it’s gotta be the Dodgers stadium. So it was an homage.
